Our Mission

The New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation was founded in 1989 by a group of local Hispanic professionals in New Orleans. Our mission revolves around investing in the education of talented and hard working local Hispanic students as a means for creating responsible and educated capable citizens and future successful professionals that can lead New Orleans to bigger and better things. Through our Scholarships Program we seek, encourage and support talented Hispanic high-school students by providing them with educational scholarships at local schools participating in the NOHHF Scholarships Program. We also support local artistic and cultural activities, particularly those related to or associated with Hispanic themes and the Hispanic community. We have also recently begun to develop a mentoring program to help Hispanic young men and women develop their academic and professional careers. We feel very strongly that this is a very sound and promising investment for the future of New Orleans and Louisiana.
