The New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation was pleased to present the 2026 Chalk Painting Our Hispanic Heritage event as part of the annual Hispanic Heritage Month celebration on Saturday, September 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Peristyle at City Park, located next to Café Du Monde (42 Dreyfous Drive, New Orleans, LA 70124).

The Foundation invited private, parochial, and public high schools across the Greater New Orleans area to participate in this vibrant cultural arts contest. Artwork was created from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A panel of three local art professionals, led by an education staff member from the New Orleans Museum of Art, judged each team's work at 12:30 p.m. Following the judging, award certificates were presented by the President of the New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation to the winning team. Prizes were generously donated by David Art Center.
