The New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation in collaboration with the Mexican Cultural Institute in New Orleans presented the groundbreaking exhibition Hispanic Women Making Art: Creative Empowerment and Identity. 6 Female Artists | 3 Countries, Curated by Marcela Correa, MFA. The artists that participated in the exhibition are Verónica Bapé (Mexico), Belinda Flores-Shinshillas (Mexico-USA), Ana Hernandez (Mexico-USA), Josephine Sacabo (Mexico-USA), Laura Velez (Puerto Rico-USA) and Luba Zygarewicz (Chile-USA). The exhibition was open to the public from September 26 to November 24, 2018.
