Elsa Baker featured artist in “4 Corners” exhibition

We are pleased to share that our Advisory Board member artist, Elsa Baker has been chosen as a featured artist in "4 Cornersexhibition at the George Dunbar Gallery, located at 2055 Second St, in the city of Slidell.

Elsa Baker received a B.A. in Fine Arts with emphasis on painting from the University of New Orleans in 1980. She received her teaching certification from Loyola University in 1981 and in 1983 pursued graduate studies in Studio Art at Tulane University. Elsa has had a long history of exhibiting her work, having had several solo and many group shows. She has won top awards and honors at numerous juried exhibits throughout the New Orleans.

Prior to moving to the North Shore in 1993, Ms. Baker taught art at Metairie Park Country Day School for eleven years, where she developed their Art History curriculum and also taught studio art.  She also pioneered the teaching of Computer Graphics in the classroom, having developed and presented workshops at several school conferences in the South.
