Latin American Symphony

The New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation presented on April 9, 2021 the multicultural virtual experience LATIN AMERICAN SYMPHONY featuring the Chilean-Italian Associate Conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Maestro Paolo Bortolameolli who took us on a journey of musical knowledge and appreciation to the classical genre.

After an intimate presentation by the Musical Director of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra Maestro Carlos Miguel Prieto, Paolo guided us into the world of classical sounds in the sanctuary of his home, where he presented us to an amalgam of rhythms, sounds, and colors through a Latin American Symphony.

Paolo has conducted every significant orchestra in his Chilean homeland and has been awarded prizes three times by the Arts Critics Association as Symphonic and Opera Conductor of the Year. He returned to perform with the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Juvenil to conduct the world premiere of Jorge Pena Hen's Piano Concerto, as well as the Orquesta Filarmónica de Santiago at the Teatro Municipal de Santiago for Mahler's Seventh Symphony, and he extends his operatic repertoire by conducting The Flying Dutchman.

Please enjoy the insightful presentation of Maestro Paolo Bortolameolli again HERE.
